Before coming

3. Please check that you have all

that you check with your own insurance provider exactly what is covered
by your E-111 form before you set out. |

citizens are obliged to arrange Student visa
(Please note that it typically takes up to 60 days to get one). |

After the arrival
1. Accommodation.
Check-in in the students residence address. You will need the passport
and one photograph. The address of the students hostel, Accommodation
Voucher and other relevant accommodation information were provided in
the letter from the university coordinator.
2. Register
with the International Affairs Department at
the First Faculty of Medicine (see plan
how to get there). Once registered you will get Study brochure (called
"Index") and will have access to regular student benefits, including
student's University ID card (CU Card). The details will be explained
upon registration.
For the registration, you will need:
- Passport
- Student visa. You cannot be registered without the student visa
- Photo
- The original of your signed Student Application and Learning Agreement
3. Apply for The Residence Permit
(EU citizens) or register with the Police Foreign
Department (non-EU).
EU citizens: Within 30 days after arrival, students are obliged
to apply for Residence Permit at Police Foreign Department. Forms can
be found at The
Department os State pages.
You will need:
- Valid passport
- Passport photo
- Declaration that you will not be in receipt of social welfare payments
- Certificate of your registration at Charles University
- Accommodation voucher or accommodation confirmation
- Proof of Health Insurance policy from your own country (E-111 form
obtained from your local health care institution)
non-EU or non-EFTA countries: For stay over 90 days visa are required
and also you are legally obliged to register with the Police Foreign Department
(Prague 3, Olsanska 2) within 3 days of your arrival.
