Introductory Instructions for English Parallel Students

Dear students,

Welcome to the Department of Infectious and Tropical Diseases, First Faculty of Medicine, Charles University and the Na Bulovce Hospital. Please, pay attention to the following instructions:

Your three-week course comprises lectures and ward rounds. Lectures are held in lecture rooms of the Na Bulovce Hospital on the 6^th or 7^th floor. Introductory lecture is in The Military University Hospital, in the Training Centre lecture room A (directions). Other teaching site is in the Military University Hospital at the building designating the exit E7.

Ward rounds are held at the Department of Infectious and Tropical Diseases Na Bulovce Hospital and at the Department of Infectious Diseases at the Military University Hospital.

Pay attention to the timetable where is the site with detail description regarding education.

First time at the Department of Infectious and Tropical Diseases enter the building on the 2^nd floor intended for staff and students. Do not use an elevator there and go on foot to the 5^th floor where are two dressing rooms for our students. Our secretary PhDr. Božena Zachovalová keeps the keys from both the dressing rooms No. 502 and 504. The first day here you will receive another instructions for lectures and examinations.

You wear on wards

• student identity card
• attendance card
• stethoscope
• slippers.

On the contrary, a coat will be loaned you on the first day of the course and you will receive the face mask before each round. During classes in seminar rooms, slippers is enough to have. Use of a pen and a notebook depends on you. We wish you pleasant experience and enjoy knowledge for the entire three weeks.
