... start TE2000 for brightfield or fluorescence

  1. check if the computer is on. If not start it.
  2. switch on the microscope at the back, down at left.
  3. switch on the XY stage controler - at the back of black box.
  4. if you want to use brichtfield, switch on the lamp power source.
  5. if you want to use fluorescence switch on the X-cite 120.
  6. if you want to take pictures by camera, start the U3 controler.
  7. wait until the X-site is initiated and open the shetter
  8. wait until the camera controler is initiated (LED stop blinking) is initiated and open the shutter
  9. if the computer is booted, log in and start NIS-elements. If will be using camera select "Nikon DS-1qc", otherwise select "No grabber"
  10. Start using microscope following general recomendations and rules.

... start TE2000 for confocal scanning (C1+si)

  1. check if the computer is on. If not start it.
  2. switch on the microscope at the back, down at left.
  3. switch on the XY stage controler - at the back of black box.
  4. if you want to use brichtfield as well, switch on the lamp power source.
  5. if you want to use fluorescence to check the samples before confocal scanning switch on the X-cite 120.
  6. if you want to use 488nm Ar laser, switch on the main source, turn the key and start ingnition.
  7. if you want to use 543nm He-Ne laser, switch on the main power of the laser (turn the key).
  8. if you want to use 405nm diode laser, switch it on by turning the key the back of the laser.
  9. start the C1+ controler controler (under the table).
  10. start the AOTF controler controler (under the table).
  11. if the computer is booted, log in and start EZ-C1. Select appropriate profile.
  12. Start using microscope following general recomendations and rules.
